Recordings of dubs of early commercial Cajun music recordings on the Brunswick, Vocalion, and Decca labels, featuring Anglo-American Cajun accordion musician Joseph Falcon (1900-1965), and his wife Cleoma (d. 1941), who in 1928 recorded the first Cajun record ever made and continued to record regularly throughout the 1930s; Anglo-American Cajun band the Louisiana Rounders; Anglo-American Cajun musician Walter Coquille; Anglo- American Cajun fiddler Leo Soileau (1904-1980), who was one of the early representatives of the string band style in Cajun music; Anglo-American Cajun musician Patrick Pellerin; and Anglo-American Cajun musician Blind Uncle Gaspard.

Joe Falcon was born in Roberts Cove, Louisiana and began playing accordion at the age of seven. His career as a professional musician began some years later in Rayne, Louisiana when the regular band didn't show up and the dance hall owner insisted that Joe take their place. He played in with accordionist Amédée Breaux. Amédée's sister, Cléoma, a gifted guitarist and singer, became Joe's frequent accompanist and they married not long after the onset of their recording career....
